Scholarships

You can apply for this scholarship if you're an international student and you: have received an offer to study a Master of Education (EU70) (majoring in early years, inclusive education, general studies, leadership and management, or TESOL); are commencing your studies in the upcoming semester. You can't apply if you're: enrolled in a research degree; sponsored by an Australian or overseas organization; already receiving a scholarship provided by QUT or another organisation.

• Value of scholarship You'll receive: a scholarship worth AUD $5,000 to put towards your studies in your commencing semester. We award one scholarship to students starting in Semester 1, and one scholarship to students starting in Semester 2.

Students must have a minimum GPA of at least 2.5 /4.0 (or equivalent 5.5 / 7.0). Students must be applying to study either a Master of Nutrition and Dietetic Practice, Master of Occupational Therapy or Master of Sports Science. Students must meet the academic requirements and prerequisites of their chosen program

To be eligible for the scholarship, you must be: A prospective international student Eligible to study in Australia with a student visa Not have accepted, or be in receipt of, any other FedUni scholarship or bursary, or any other reduced fee arrangements at the time of entry to the University (with the exception of Federation University Accommodation Scholarships) Not be in receipt of credit transfers or exemptions Meet minimum academic IELTS 5.5 with no band less than 5.5 (or equivalent) Meet the following academic performance requirements: Undergraduate degree program – overall academic performance with 'Distinction' in Year 12 (senior high school). Postgraduate degree program – overall academic performance with 'Credit' in bachelor degree study from HE Section 1 University Enrolling in an eligible program Enrolling in a program at a higher level than your existing qualification Studying full-time at a home campus of Federation University Australia. Home campuses are located in Ballarat and Gippsland. These scholarships do not apply to students studying at a Federation University Partner Provider teaching location. Selection of successful applicants for the limited number of scholarships is competitive, and may require scores above the minimum requirements.

To be eligible applicants must: be an Australian citizen or have permanent resident status  be from a rural or remote area within Queensland  commence or continue their studies in a Bachelor of Nursing in Semester 1 2018 be enrolled in a minimum of 3 study units in each of Semester 1 and Semester 2  be studying on-campus, external or online.

Students commencing Honours study at USC enrolment in an 'end-on' Honours program (ie not an embedded Honours or Professional Honours program) students must have a supervisor from both the FIRC and one of the FABL schools not already in receipt of a USC merit scholarship or a USC Honours or postgraduate Indigenous Scholarship for Honours year of study SELECTION CRITERIA: academic merit, based on GPA for advanced level courses undertaken research focus and potential alignment to a USC area of research concentration - USC Research concentrations intention/motivation for ongoing study/research and pursuit of a Higher Degree by Research (HDR)

FRoGS scholarships-mentorships are open to competition among candidates who: are Australian citizens and residents of Queensland; are enrolled as full-time internal students at JCU's Townsville campus in an undergraduate teacher education program approved by the SMC;  have achieved Queensland overall position [OP] university entrance scores 1-11, or the equivalent;  have homes so far from the nearest university that daily travel for full-time internal study is impracticable;                                                                           clearly describe and provide documentary evidence of their financial need; and have lodged through applications for the Australian Department of Human Services/Centrelink Youth Allowance/Austudy/Abstudy and have received hard copy approvals/rejections, or have official decisions pending. [Careful observance of this clause should ensure that awardees receive the maximum total (FRoGS + government) financial assistance.]

Students commencing Honours study at USC in the discipline of Environmental Science, Environmental Management or Animal Ecology not already in receipt of a USC merit scholarship or a USC Honours or postgraduate Indigenous Scholarship for Honours year of study SELECTION CRITERIA: academic merit, based on GPA for advanced level courses undertaken research focus in an environmentally sensitive site on the Sunshine Coast, with a preference for an area of research relevant to the Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve intention/motivation for ongoing study/research and pursuit of a Higher Degree by Research (HDR)
