Student Support

Queensland offers a range of resources including the Queensland student hub network, an international student hotline and student support staff dedicated to supporting and encouraging students.


A free space to support and empower international LGBTQI students and friends in Brisbane, the Rainbow Hub has been established to help create a safe and supportive environment for international students in Brisbane who identify as LGBTIQ and help them connect with local services and the wider community. The Rainbow Hub is based at The Edge, a community space located within the State Library of Queensland.

The Brisbane Student Hub is a free, welcoming support service for international students in Queensland. Located at the Brisbane Multicultural Centre (28 Dibley Street, Woolloongabba), the Brisbane Student Hub provides information, advice and referrals on healthcare, employment, budget management, accommodation and legal services, as well as connecting students to local events and activities.

Located at 43 Nerang Street Southport, the heart of Gold Coast's latest co-working spaces, the Gold Coast Student Hub is designed by students for students and aims to provide a unique networking, collaboration and study space for students to connect, learn, explore and seek support in a friendly and welcoming environment.

The Cairns Student Hub is an informative, supportive environment that aims to enhance international students experience in Cairns. Located in the Cairns central business district, you can access free events, wifi, local information and support at the Cairns Student Hub.

1800QSTUDY (1800 778 839) is a hotline for international students across Queensland. The service supports students, agents, chaperones, parents and homestay providers with 24/7 phone support and general enquires regarding studying in Queensland. Please note, 1800QSTUDY is not an emergency service number. In an emergency, please dial Tripple Zero (000) and ask for police, fire or ambulance.
